Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself playing, explaining and enjoying the venue´s excellent coffee, which was a basic need really. The day before I attended the Highlands Rock & Blues Festival. Here you see me still fit and fresh listening to Wishbone Ash....
However, since I subsequently did not meet my bed before 1:30 AM on the same Sunday morning as I attended Impact by 16:00 PM I was actually quite knackered. Despite some lack of sleep and consciousness we hosted a 20mm SYW game with the Black Powder rules. Here are some pictures.
A few impressions of the painting contest:
Koen passing his stern but just judgement...
Sander´s winning entry.
Some more entries.
Here is some local press coverage.
A great day indeed, nice report and thanks for sharing the pictures!

Your BP SYW demo was very impressive! Like those cuirassiers very much (nice action photo too). Hope I can join battle with some newbie Ruskies on a future occassion.

What figures are the cuirassier? Thought originally they might be Spencer Smith or Minden, but now I click on photo, might be 1/72 plastic?
ReplyDeleteVery nice little show!
David
They were originally 1/72 plastic Russian cuirassiers from the Napoleonic era. From left to right they are made by Hat, Zvezda, Zvezda and HaT respectively.
ReplyDeleteI removed the helmeted heads and replaced them by heads from 1/72 IMEX AWI British.
